About Clair!
Clair grew up in northern Virginia and received an undergraduate
degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina
Asheville. Moving from one mountain range to the next, she earned a PhD
in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder the Spring of 2025.
With a love for all things green, Clair spends her weekends backpacking,
tending her jungle of houseplants (complete with her “jungle-cat”
Kiki), or fly fishing. With light as her muse, She works as a freelance artist and illustrator,
primarily painting landscapes from her adventures, dramatic spacescapes
or scientific figures for academic labs, companies, or patent law. With
a science background, she invites her audience to connect with the rich world
around them to promote wonder, conservation, and greater understanding.
